A novel numerical tool to study electron energy distribution functions of spatially anisotropic and non-homogeneous ECR plasmas

A numerical tool for analysing spatially anisotropic electron populations in cyclotron resonance (ECR) plasmas has been developed, using a trial-and-error energy distribution function (EEDF) fitting method. The method tested on space-resolved warm electrons the range $2-20\,\mathrm{keV}$, obtained from self-consistent simulations modelling only dynamics ECR devices, but lacked real-world validation. For experimentally benchmarking method, we attempted to numerically reproduce experimental X-ray emission spectrum measured an argon plasma. Results of this analysis have provided crucial information about density and temperature electrons, competing distributions hot components. This can be fed back simulation models generate more realistic data. Subsequent application as described improved data result continuous EEDFs that reflect nature charge plasmas. These functions also applied dependent reactions, order results, like those concerning space-dependent K$\alpha$ emissions.
